Harrison Council for the Arts Presents "For the Love of Horses" Equine Paintings, Prints and Drawings by Patti Goldberg Ettinger

The Harrison Council for the Arts presents “For the Love of Horses” equine paintings, prints and drawings by Patti Goldberg Ettinger at the Harrison Public Library, 2 Bruce Avenue, April 1 to May 4 with an opening reception April 14 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

In Ms. Ettinger’s words:  “While I began primarily working boldly in oils, more recently, I’ve branched out into the subtlety of pastel and charcoal and the abstract qualities of monoprints using oil sticks. But whether it is by brush or pencil, my ultimate goal is for the viewer to feel that my horses are alive, that they have breath and movement.  And most of all, I want people to feel the energy and passion I felt while painting them.”

Patti Goldberg Ettinger has shown her work throughout Westchester County, including shows at The Jacob Burns Film Center, Westchester Community College. Westchester Art Workshop and the Greenburgh Library.  Before returning to her first love, painting, Patti worked both as an art director in several award-winning Manhattan advertising agencies, and as a graphic designer.  She studied at the Art Students’ League and the Westchester Art Workshop.  Patti holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
