Charles Strouse Day, on October 23, is the inaugural event of Living Arts at Manhattanville, a yearly event that celebrates the life and achievements of a living composer, musician or artist. The composer of over two dozen musicals, Charles Strouse is most famous for Annie and Bye Bye Birdie, which each won the Tony Award for Best Musical.

The full-day event will include performances from Charles Strouse as well as Broadway stars Andrea McArdle, who played Annie in the original Broadway production, and Alan H. Green, who is currently starring in Sister Act, and Susan Watson, who is currently in Follies.

The Manhattanville Dance Ensemble will be on hand performing selections of Strouse's work, including "It's the Hard-Knock Life." The Vocal Chamber Ensemble and the Quintessentials, a pop vocal group, will also perform.

Please RSVP by October 20 at www.mvilletickets.com. For more information call (914) 323-5379 or (914) 323-5250.
