Did You Know Harrison Public Library Loans Museum Passes?
Library card holders can reserve the free passes online. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Harrison Public Library. Here's how.
If you are have a Harrison Public Library card you're entitled to reserve free passes online at the library website to multiple destinations.
Any adult library cardholder from Harrison, West Harrison, and Purchase can reserve a pass, according to the library website. In fact, if you live, work, or own property in Harrison you can get a library card.
Here are some of the participating museums and exhibits participating in the free pass program which is sponsored by the Friends of the Harrison Public Library, who organize lots of activities with children in mind:
- American Museum of Natural History
- Stepping Stones Museum for Children
- Children's Museum of Manhattan
- Intrepid
- Guggenheim
- Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum
- Museum of the City of New York
- Maritime Aquarium ($2 discount)
Just go to the library website and click the big red box on that says Museum Passes to see what's available. The site will list the number of passes available beside the name of the museum. Then you Request Pass on the date you would like to pick up a pass from the library. Then just pick up your pass at the information desk at the main branch of the Harrison Public Library.
Bring the library card you used to make the reservation to the information desk at the Harrison Public Library. All passes must be picked up from the main branch (Halperin Building).
