White Plains' City Limits Diner Celebrates 20 Years

The following release, marking its 20th anniversary, is from City Limits Diner:

Where were you in 1994? Flashback twenty years, when “The Lion King” was released; “The Sign” by Ace of Base was a number one Billboard hit; “Friends” aired for the first time, The New York Rangers won the Stanley Cup, and in White Plains, the Livanos family opened City Limits. On Thursday, May 8, 2014, the community favorite known for its made-from-scratch dishes and family-friendly atmosphere will celebrate 20 years of re-defining classic diner fare with a “Throwback to 1994” bash and the launch of the Turn Back Thyme cocktail which combines gin, fresh lemon juice, thyme, and an ouzo rinse, served on the rocks, that will remain on the menu long after the celebration. Adding to the nostalgia, the iconic City Limits coffee cup, a visual staple of the restaurant, which was removed for a new look during the 2012 renovation, will make an appearance at the event. Leading up to the event fans can follow along on twitter using #CityLimits20.

“We have guests that have been dining with us for 20 years; they’re an important part of our family,” says Owner, Nick Livanos. “We are thrilled to be celebrating this milestone with them.  We’ve come a long way since City Limits’ first opened its doors, changing with the needs of our guests and also staying true to what City Limits is all about – great food and family.”
