Jehovahs, Jennie-O Filming This Week

A religious educational video at the high school and a packaged meats commercial at the lighthouse will bring film crews to Sleepy Hollow this week and free breakfast sandwiches to the people on Saturday.

Sleepy Hollow will be full of camera crews this week for some unusual projects.

First, today on the steps of the perhaps you noticed the bright lights of a some lights-camera-action going on. I stopped by to snoop and a suited man asked me, kindly, to delete the photo I had taken (from a distance) of the production crew. He told me they were filming an educational video for the Watch Tower organization, i.e. the Jehovah's Witnesses, and they didn't want to release any info on it until it was out.

Still, I'll sneak a photo in here and hope for the best.

Then, on Wednesday, we'll see more action at various hotspots around the village from the to the lighthouse. This is for a commercial for Jennie-O Turkey, the Hormel foods company who apparently wants to film people eating their packaged meats in our most picturesque and historic settings.

Any inconvenience you experience will be rewarded (if you eat packaged meat). Jennie-O is serving up free breakfast sandwiches to thank us for our hospitality on Saturday at 9 a.m. across from Village Hall.

From their "Village Appreciation Breakfast" press release:

As a “thank you” to the village for serving as the setting for its latest breakfast-focused television commercial, Jennie-O will give away 1,000 breakfast sandwiches made with JENNIE-O®turkey bacon and turkey sausage.

The free breakfast event starts at 9 am on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, and will be held at the municipal parking lot across from Village Hall, 28 Beekman Ave., Sleepy Hollow, N.Y. One thousand free sandwiches will be available first come, first served. There is a limit of one meal per person while supplies last.

" If an elder or a ministerial servant is promoting higher education to others for the material advantages or the status it may bring, he is calling into question his qualifications to serve the congregation because of the effect on his and his fellow appointed brothers’ freeness of speech. (1 Tim. 3:13; Titus 1:9) The body of elders may therefore determine that the brother no longer qualifies to serve. If a person is serving as a regular pioneer only and the body of elders determines that he no longer qualifies to serve because of decisions he has made with regard to higher education, the person, the congregation, and the branch office should be informed of the deletion in the usual manner." Letter to All Bodies of Elders March 6 2012.

That was my thinking in not feeling so bad about posting something from a distance.

ps. when I went to University to study medicine an elder took me aside in the car park and mocked me "we dont need doctors in the paradise." I remained the better by just walking away, I chose to not point out that double glazed windows will likewise not be required, his family business.

With all these qualification and you still can't see the bad math and false prophesy of 1914 and THAT generation would not pass away.....Jeramiah 25 ...it was 70 years for Babylon to rules trample Jerusalem and all the nations. Your org. Agrees that 537 BC was when Cyrus took power, so Babylons rule started in 607 BC according to the 70 years in Jeremiah 25. So Jerusalem was finaly devasted in 587 BC consistant with most Bible Historians and based on the bible. So it's obvious your org.s date of 1914 is in error and the whole foundation that your org. Was selected in 1919 as Gods only channel is false and based on error. Do the math professor !!
