The Harrison Public Library has partnered with Literacy in Motion for a book drive to help bring children's literature to victims of Superstorm Sandy.
New and gently-used childrens books can be dropped off at the library's lobby until 5 p.m. Thursday. The books will then be used to create pop-up libraries in emergency shelters and food pantries currently serving victims of the storm.
"These efforts will go a long way to restoring a sense of normalcy and improving the quality-of-life of those that are shelter-bound for the foreseeable future," said Harrison Library Director Galina Chernykh.
