Trumpeter on the Roof

On Friday May 4 at 7:30 p.m. Congregation Emanu-El of Westchester, 2125 Westchester Avenue East, Rye, New York, will present the 27th annual Cantor Earl Rogers Tribute Sabbath featuring virtuoso trumpet player, David Glukh, in Trumpeter on the Roof, an eclectic and exciting program ranging in style from baroque to klezmer. Included on the program, which Mr. Glukh will narrate, will be pieces on the piccolo trumpet, a unique instrument twice as short as a regular trumpet. He will also be joined by soprano, Meredith Stone, cantor of the synagogue.  The program will follow a brief Sabbath worship service.  The public is welcome and of course there is no charge.  For information/directions please see the Temple website, www.congregationemanuel.org or call 967-4382 for further information.
