Halloween Happenings 2012

Halloween Hay Bale Theater
Every Friday night in October, the Yonkers store's Garden Center is transformed into a Hay Bale Theater to show a free children's Halloween-themed movie. Tickets may be picked up on a first come, first served basis at Customer Service the Saturday before each show. Free refreshments are served.

The movies begin at 7:00 P.M., with seating opening at 6:30 P.M.:

  • October 5, 2012: Monsters, Inc.
  • October 12, 2012: The Dog Who Saved Halloween
    • Special Bonus Feature! Arrive early to see Dora's Halloween Parade
  • October 19, 2012: Scared Shrekless
    • Special Bonus Feature! Arrive early to see Spongebob Ghouls Fools
  • October 26, 2012: It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
    • Special Bonus Feature! Arrive early to see What's New Scooby-Doo - Halloween Boos and Clues

In case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown in the Yonkers store's conference room. The conference room has limited space and seating will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

Halloween Hayride Spooktacular
This family-friendly hayride starts Friday, October 5, 2012 and runs through Wednesday, October 31, 2012.  Hours of operation are:

  • Monday through Thursday: 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
  • Friday: 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
  • Saturday through Sunday: 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Free Face Painting
Every Saturday and Sunday in the month of October from Noon until 3:00 p.m., children are invited to have their faces painted for free at Stew Leonard's in Yonkers.

Halloween Day Trick or Treat
On Halloween day, Wednesday, October 31, 2012, children are invited to dress in their costumes and come to Stew Leonard's in Yonkers to go trick or treating throughout the store from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Children can pick up a map from Customer Service and use the map to find treats throughout the store. Those in costume will also receive a free ice cream!Halloween Hay Bale Theater
