Local Student Raises Money for Make-A-Wish with help from Matchbox Twenty

Nicholas Bilotta, an eighth grade student at Louis M. Klein Middle School in Harrison, is on a mission.

As part of a project for his membership in the National Junior Honor Society, Nicholas has chosen the task of raising enough money to grant a child a wish through the Hudson Valley Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Each wish costs $7500 on average.  So far Nicholas has raised over $6500 by conducting two fundraising raffles.  For his latest raffle which raised $3500, he had some help from the band Matchbox Twenty.

The band generously donated a raffle prize consisting of 2 tickets with a meet and greet for their recent show at the Borgata in Atlantic City.  Next up for Nicholas will be a raffle of an Ultimate NY Mets experience at CitiField.  Details to follow.
