You can still give the gift of love this holiday season by donating blood or money on Dec. 19 at an emergency blood drive that will benefit the Hurricane Sandy relief fund.
The event will be hosted by Harrison resident Ada Angarano and is sponsored by the Harrison EMS. It will take place on Dec. 19, 2012 at the Harrison Veterans Building, 210 Halstead Ave.
The drive will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information please call 1-800-RED-CROSS.
For those unable to donate blood, organizers will also be accepting check donations made payable to the American Red Cross. Please earmark checks "Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund".
Our newest merchant, DeCicco's Family Market will be donating the refreshments for this blood drive. I thank them for helping such a worthy cause.
