Our granddaughter Elizabeth Ricci will be turning 11 on July 20.
She has been waiting an entire year for this birthday by letting her beautiful dark wavy hair grow way down her back for a very special reason.
Elizabeth decided last year that she wanted to help children with cancer by donating her hair so that young cancer victims who have lost theirs due to chemotherapy treatments can have wigs made for them while they await their new hairgrowth. The donation is through the 'Locks of Love' Organization.
We are very proud that our granddaughter has this natural "gift of love" at such as early age. She will, without a doubt, grow-up to be a very loving, caring adult as well.
