Tappan Zee Bridge, Bronx River Parkway Work Scheduled

  • The West Harrison Library will host train time this morning from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Patrons of all ages are invited to play with the library's new trains. The West Harrison branch is located at 2 Madison St.
  • Join the Renaissance Westchester Hotel in West Harrison today at 5:30 p.m. for live music from Timmy Cappello, complimentary hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine and a special cocktail of the day all while admired illustrator Jason Graves completes his installation of a 200 square foot custom blackboard chalk art wall featured in HIVE Living Room + Bar. The hotel is located at 80 West Red Oak Ln. in  West Harrison.
  • The New Westchester Symphony Orchestra invites local musicians to a complimentary rehearsal at 7:30 p.m. tonight, inside the Music Conservatory of Westchester, located at 216 Central Ave. in  White Plains. The first audition for the amateur community orchestra is free. Email info@newsymphony.org to RSVP to a rehearsal and go to www.newsymphony.org for additional information about the orchestra.
  • There will be northbound lane closures on the Bronx River Parkway through. The closures will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Access will be closed from the six lane portion of the Bronx River Parkway Parkway to the four lane portion,  at the Sprain Brook Parkway. All Traffic will be diverted onto the Sprain Brook Parkway and then Central Park Avenue (NY 100) all the way to White Plains.   • Today through Wednesday, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., one southbound right hand lane and shoulder between exit 11 and the Tappan Zee Bridge will be closed for installation of the concrete traffic barriers for reconstruction of the Thruway maintenance ramp to come. Also: one southbound right hand lane on the bridge will be closed for the installation of “structural monitors.”
