Spring Ahead: Navigating the Independent School Admission Process

The Garden State Opera will present in the Spring 2024 the operatic double bill `Bastien and Bastienne` by Mozart and The Marriage Counselor by Santelli on Sunday May 5, 2024, 3PM. The performance will take place at Saint John Lutheran Church (140 Lexington Ave, Passaic, NJ 07055). Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the GSO website <a href="https://www.gardenstateopera.org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.gardenstateopera.org</a>, tickets may be purchased at the door but we recommend to buy them on line as seating is limited. This program is made possible in part with funds from the Passaic County Cultural and Heritage Council, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and support from the Local 16/248 Musicians Union. Westchester Country Club

On the evening of May 10th, the Westchester Country Club will welcome <a href="https://www.potsbronx.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" data-auth="NotApplicable" id="OWAfd319ce0-acee-2ab2-282b-ccb2d1339118" data-loopstyle="linkonly" data-linkindex="0">Part of the Solution (POTS)</a> and a community of caring neighbors to celebrate four decades of action in support of the most vulnerable New Yorkers.
This year, the organization will also reflect on its recent expansion and renovation that will benefit the more than 34,000 clients served each year, as well as the plans to escalate its success model to help even more families escape poverty.
This year’s event will also honor the Sisters of Charity of New York, who have served the community since 1817. Now in their third century of living lives of love, they continue to carry out their mission through POTS and their other sponsored ministries.
POTS’ Executive Director, Christina Hanson, reflects “Thanks to the Sisters of Charity and our incredible donor community we have been able to meet the needs of the times, even during difficult times. We are committed to our message of hope to double our efforts and take decisive steps to eradicate poverty one household at a time.”
POTS plans to follow a new fun and social format, with live music by The Ray Greiche Band, culinary stations, and drinks. The event will be hosted by Kevin Thompson, who has over 15 years of experience in the entertainment and event industry.
POTS invites longstanding and new supporters to join them to embark in a transformational journey for the organization and the community they serve.
