Students Talk Business at Manhattanville

Manhattanville College hosted a career fair Tuesday afternoon, giving students and the public a chance to meet with business leaders from Westchester County and beyond.

Keynote speaker Laurence Gottlieb warned students Tuesday at Manhattanville College that they will graduate into a difficult job market, but said there is a silver lining—Westchester County is actually doing comparatively well during the worse recession in decades.

Touting his marketing campaign dubbing Westchester County "New York's Intellectual Capital", Gotlieb, the director of economic development for the county executive, said that local companies are willing to pay Westchester's high taxes because they are looking for talented and well-educated employees.

A positive for students preparing to enter the job market with a college degree.
