Police Confiscate 135 Grams of Cocaine

A 41-year-old man who was driving on Harrison Avenue was found with what police believe to be 135 grams of Cocaine.

A 41-year-old Virginia man was arrested on Harrison Avenue earlier this month after police found him in possession of what they believe to be 135 grams of cocaine.

The arrest occurred at about 1:20 p.m. on June 17. The suspect, Todd Kellerman, was stopped stopped near 209 Harrison Avenue because of a fractured windshield.

A computer check at the scene revealed that Kellerman had an active warrant from California in connection to "dangerous drugs". While speaking with Kellerman, police also noticed the strong odor of marijuana.

During an initial search, police found a glass pipe containing marijuana. At this time Kellerman was placed under arrest. A further search yielded 11 grams of cocaine found in Kellerman's left shoe, according to a police report.

After Kellerman was placed under arrest, police called a dog team to search the vehicle. At that time they found a magnetic lock-box hidden behind the vehicle's rear license plate.

The box was unlocked and held two large Zip-lock bags; one containing marijuana, the other 135 grams of what police believe to be cocaine. Police also found another gram of marijuana behind the driver's seat.

Kellerman was transported to police headquarters, arraigned and remanded to Westchester County Jail with a court date of June 22.

He faces criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana charges as well as a traffic offense.
